Europeana, The European Digital Library

Europeana.eu is a huge European digital library funded by the European Commission and the member states. This multi-lingual online resource include about 2 million of digitised items such as paintings, pictures, books, drawings, newspappers, letters, diaries, tapes, discs, films and TV broadcasts.
The digital content is selected from that which is already digitised and available in Europe’s museums, libraries, archives and audio-visual collections.
